Karen blames passenger for "ruining everyone's flight" after they complained about her child repeatedly kicking their seat
  • 02
Two of my kids would NOT stop kicking the airplane seat in front of them Comments upld. by author a cool. Someone tried that with my 1.5 year old years ago. He laughed kicked the seat more. They told me to hold his legs. I did. He screamed for the rest of the flight.. so yeah. That worked well. I hope you're blessed with magical screaming as well and then the glares of the passengers around you when they saw the interaction and realize you've ruined everyone's flight. 5,611 7

00 kookiekoo OP. 19 hr. ago It's so baffling to me that this Karen expected the passenger to be okay with her kid kicking their seat, and then thinks that everyone was angry with the innocent passenger for complaining after the kid wouldn't stop screaming (for not being able to kick the seat anymore). How delusional. 618 Reply Share

Just witnessed a Karen at a local restaurant. It's Friday night and this happened 10 minutes ago. I'm sitting by the at the bar relaxing when an unsuspecting lady (60s) walks up to the bar and demands service at her table.
  • 05
Bar manager asks her what table she is at and she points to a table that clearly has not been bussed yet. Manager " have you checked in with our hostess?" K " no, the table was open."
  • 06
Manager "we have a sign up front clearly stating to check in with the host/hostess. Please leave the table and check in properly. As you can see we have 10+ groups already in before you." K "this is unacceptable."
  • 07
Manager "please check into the wait-list like everyone else..." Karen sulked in a defeated way and sat in the waiting area with her friend. I'm super proud of a local spot not caring about Karen's throwing their weight around.

Planet Karen I just encountered a wild Karen at a Planet Fitness. 2 things: I am 6'1" (about 2 meters) tall and weigh 240 lbs. This is relevant because I've dealt with many people like this who think they can get me in trouble because I am a large male, and poor little them.

I was down to my last exercise on one of the machines. There was a middle aged blonde woman using it, so I stood about 8 feet away. I did not even look in her direction, I was listening to music on my earbuds, and watching one of the many TVs while glancing back at my phone here and there.
  • 10
About 5 minutes into it, she turns to me. I take my headphones out, and she asks if I'm waiting for the machine. I say "Yes," then look back at my phone. Karen: Well, I'm going to be awhile... Me: No rush.
  • 11
She then gets up and waves her hand in my face and says, "Can you not stand over me!" Me: I'm not sanding anywhere near you, I'm patiently waiting for the machine. (I even made sure my body wasn't facing her in an aggressive manner.)
  • 12
At this time, there was older woman who just sat down at the next machine over and said, "Don't worry honey, you can come stand over me." We both laughed then I moved about 2 feet closer to her, and away from Karen.

Karen starts to mutter insults to herself, but I don't really care and go back to my music. About 10 mins later she dramatically gets up and yells, "You can jump on it now," as she goes marching towards the front desk. I reply, "Don't worry, I'll wipe it down and clean it for you," because of course she didn't.
  • 14
I get my sets in then walk up to the front desk and ask, "What'd she say about me." One replies, "You!?! She was talking about you??!?" I nod. The second replies: You're like the nicest guy in here. You come in, do your work, and never bother anyone.
  • 15
The first one says, "Yeah, you're the sweetest guy and always polite. We've had issues with her (Karen) in the past. Don't worry about it." While the 3 of us are chatting and laughing, I glance across the gym at Karen and... If looks could kill... Then this other guy walks up to me and tells the two staff members, "I saw the whole thing. That woman is something else. He was nothing but polite to her and she was being belligerent." He then looks at me and says, "You handled that a LOT better than

This ending may not be as satisfying, but it's a huge win for me and I just had to share it somewhere. These situations don't always work out in my favor. I'm just thankful it did and Karin had to sit there getting more angry and more miserable. you, Karen.

Karen Doesn't Think I'm "Disabled Enough" For the Handicap Spot Apologies for the format, I'm on mobile! So I (24F) am in the process of finding out if I tore my left ACL or not. During this time, I was given a temporary handicap pass because I'm on crutches and have a knee brace. This morning, I drove to my MRI appointment and saw an empty handicap spot and parked there. I shouldn't be walking regularly,

but I can at least limp around the car and grab the crutches in the passenger seat. Right before I open the door, some lady approaches me from behind and is all, "Miss? Miss? You can't park there." I'm not a mean person and I like to give people the benefit of the doubt, so I just go, "I'm on crutches and have a pass, don't worry!" This lady, with her voice sharpening, says, "You can clearly walk! And I don't see no crutches." So I open the door and pull one out. For some context, my crutches ar

and I assume she's gonna start filming me. I'm not confrontational by any means, but my knee was hurting, I woke up too early, and Karen was probably about to blast me on Facebook. So I responded, "Film and this crutch will be up your ass."

I am not sure what happened next, as I turned around and hobbled off. I was so upset I forgot my other crutch in the car :(

Baseball Field Is For Baseball This one still bugs me and was from a time just before the term Karen was coined for these type of people. When my son was about 12 years old, he asked to go down to the local park to practice his baseball fielding. It was fairly early on a Saturday, no one around when we go there. We set up on the baseball field which is HS/college size with about 300 ft fences in the outfield.
  • 22
As I'm hitting grounders to him, a woman enters the field wanting to use it to walk the perimeter for her morning exercise. She comes over and insists we stop hitting the ball because she's afraid of getting hit by it. I said we wouldn't because a) we were there first, b) it's a baseball field so we're using it for the exact purpose it's there, 3) what my son and I were doing was highly unlikely to endanger her given the size of the field and 4) the park has numerous other places more appropriat

She huffed and puffed, demanded to know if we had a permit (wasn't happy when I turned that question back on her!), then threatened to call the police or the park management. I stood my ground and she finally stalked off. Never heard from her again thankfully. To this day, I still can't imagine what gave her the idea that she had a "claim" to using the field. A baseball field is for baseball!

Male Karen Yells At My MIL When Their Store Messed Up Her Order This past Sunday, my MIL had ordered pizza for everyone at her house. This is something she does regularly for her family. She's very kind and generous, often taking the younger kids into her home on weekends so that the kids and parents in our family have room to breathe for a bit. That doesn't leave much free time for herself because she works as a full time picc placement nurse during the week. We always thank her, make sure she

This weekend, though, she went above and beyond. She had the 15 and 12yo girl cousins and my 6yo son from Friday to Sunday night. All of this while bringing him to the birthday party we planned and set up for our son on Saturday, then offering to keep him afterward. She really is amazing.

So, back to the pizza. She likes to order from that hut that makes pizza and normally there aren't any problems. This time, when her food was delivered, the pizzas were cold and they had forgotten 4 sodas! She was rightfully upset and called the store to see if they could still deliver the drinks or if she could get a discount/refund. She was very respectful (I have anxiety and any sort of anger or language sticks out to me. She had neither.)
  • 27
She usually takes calls on speaker so this was the conversation: Mil: "Do you know if the driver who just dropped off our order could bring the sodas back? I think they forgot them." MK: "Nah, they can't" Mil: "Ok. Could I get a refund or something instead?" MK: "Your driver was through Door Dash so you'd have to talk to them about that." "Oh, I didn't know that pizza hut did that. Don't you guys deliver?" MK: "Yeah but when it gets too busy, Door Dash covers other deliveries." Mil: "Wait, I pai

This is about the time me and the cousins noticed his tone shift. We were like "Woah, woah, woah, what!?" Mil: "...can I have your name?" MK: "Nah! You don't need my name!" Mil: "Can I just get in store credit or something?" MK: "Nah!" Us in the background, now joined by my young BIL who lives there: "Why is he being so !? They were the ones who forgot our drinks! You weren't to him!" even

Mil: "I think I'll just call corporate, thanks." MK: "...you still want the store credit?" Mil: "Yes. My number is ###-' MK "What's your number" Mil: "I was just saying it!" Her voice is raising now because she was fed up with his rudeness. "It's ###-###-####" MK: "It's credited. You need anything else?" Mil: "The number to corporate if you have it." MK: "Nah." Mil: "Then no." And she hangs up.

This whole thing really made me upset because of how much my MIL had done for the family all weekend. Shame on you, Male Karen. You should not be in a professional position and speak to people that way. As an ex-pizza place worker myself, I understand how rough the job can be. But that's no excuse to lash out at a customer who simply wants what they ordered or a refund if you can't provide it.
